Senior HR Officer

The role
We are seeking a Senior HR Officer to report to an Associate Director within the HR team at Apex. The role holder will be a key member of the wider Apex Human Resources function however this specific role will focus on HR project and integration activities whilst also providing adhoc day to day HR support services. The role requires a HR generalist who is versatile and shows a strong attention to detail. The role will be based in South Africa.
Key responsibilities
HR Operations
- Deliver transactional HR administration services including contract production and change of terms;
- Monitor employee probationary periods including confirming to permanent staff;
- Support the recruitment process which includes sending offers, preparing the relevant information to the Hiring Committee, attending job fairs if and when required;
- Actively support the HR team with Graduate programmes;
- Responsibility for onboarding of new hires with the system set up of new employees on;
- Support all advertising initiatives including recruitment advertisements and articles;
- Support the trainee course bookings for professional training;
- Support with the Learnership/SAIPA programme;
- Support the HR team with projects as required and
- Dealing with general day-to-day queries.
- Bachelors degree - Relevant qualification
- 2-3 years experience (preferable)
- A confident and personable personality
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong self-motivation and drive
- Competent in the use of the Microsoft suite, especially Microsoft Excel
- Good communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
