The objective of this position is to focus on the more technical aspects of integration requirements due to medical schemes/administrators as well as other third party's we integrate with supply their own integration requirements rather than using the MediKredit prescribe integration requirements. The other technical aspects required for our normal vendor integrations as standard also required:
- it is standard to supply XSD's for all integration requirements.
- adopt to the latest technologies to do integrations with any of our clients by start implementing API's instead of the current way of integrations.
- Adopt and understand new data communicated protocols.
The senior integration specialist is required to address these technical requirements, training these technical requirements to the rest of the integration team and ensure knowledge and skills transfer to the team.
- Mapping from one XML specification to another XML specification ot other formats like JSON or even CSV, pipe delimited or fix format files using MapForce.
- Do technical testing to ensure mapping is done correctly.
- Generate the relevant stylesheet for IT to implement.
- Creating XSD's for existing XML specifications as well as new XML specifications using XML Spy.
- Do technic testing to ensure the XSD is aligned with the XML specification
- Generate sample claims from the created XSD's for clients to assist with the integration.
- Data communication protocols, existing HealhNet ST enhancements to use the latest comm's protocols, web services etc.
- Use tools to test these comm's protocols.
- Handover these protocols over to SQA to be able to test.

- Product development in line with the company product strategy. This includes:
- System design quality
- Ensure optimal /flexible system integration design through required business, system and technical analysis
- Management including technical manager/project manager across companies and departments within the various companies in a matrix organisation to ensure efficient and effective delivery of an integrated solution from an end-to-end perspective including:
- Required project planning, outcomes delivery management and documentation management (including appropriate resource management /conflict resolution to ensure required outcomes in line with specified milestones are met). Ensure a project management approach is applied for all end-to-end deliveries
- Attend all internal /external project/implementation meetings as assigned by the GM: Switch Integration
- Drive projects to completion, upon agreement with software clients regarding the relevant project - Management of technical resources across companies and reports in matrix organization
- Resource management/conflict management
- Tracking and reporting on all project deliverables.
- Risk reporting and action plan.
- Keep decision logs for all different vendor integrations and update decision logs.
- Manage all incidents after pilot accreditation.
- Log all findings during the integration on the relevant MK standardized documents and communicate to the GM: Switch Integration
- Compile/Enhance HealthNet specifications and all relevant accreditation documents
- Management of the technical integration end to end including:
- System integration resource management to timelines and specification involving technical resources from both companies
- Appropriate Comms solution design and implementation
- Testing and accreditation including management of testing requirements /environment management
- Present analysis of all assigned projects to the GM: Switch Integration or Project team for approval
- Compile all required documentation (business, system and technical specifications) for the internal and external clients and get sign-off
- Minute external client meetings
- Manage the flow of technical information between MediKredit and the software vendors once accreditation has taken place
- Implementation of the technical solution including on site management when going live, where required, as well as ensuring required monitoring processes are in place including required technical incident management and resolution
- Review existing processes for operational efficiency and quality as part of continues improvement cycle
- Implement flexible system designs for future enhancements.
- Implement cost effective comm's solutions
- Addressing all technical issues with the external customers immediately and negotiate turnaround times
- Manage the training requirements of Integration Quality employees on all aspects of technical end to end integration delivery for all markets/products as part of the capacity building process, which includes on-site training where required.
- Implement targeted mentoring of IQ employees in high profile clients and complex system integrations
- Implement a training framework and training across all products and markets
- Create a learning culture through cross skilling
- To act as a back-up for the GM: Switch Integration/employees on a project/product basis where required.

- Familiarity with defining business requirements for software development.
- Background experience in the health care market is an essential requirement for this position.
