Senior Internal Auditor

The ideal candidate will have a qualified University degree in Accounting, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, or Law, as well as relevant audit certifications such as CIA/CISA/CA - or willingness to work towards. You'll be responsible for efficient performance of all scheduled, ad-hoc and Group audits based on the standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors (llA), local regulations, and Group Audit requirements.

In addition to your professional experience, you'll also need to have knowledge of South Africa's (re)insurance market and applicable prudential regulations, as well as intermediate to advanced knowledge of data analytics software such as ACL or Idea.

Responsibilities will include managing the cradle-to-grave audit process, creating valuable business insights from internal audit activity, and issuing high-quality audit reports. You'll also need to stay up to date with regulatory changes in the audit, governance, and insurance space, and proactively engage and maintain positive relationships with assigned business areas.
