As a Senior Key Account Manager, you will work in partnerships with key customers to define and implement winning strategies that drive mutual business growth for both PMI and our partners. Youll lead negotiations, optimize trade investments, and develop key account strategies that elevate our market position, commercialising our multi-category Key Accounts strategy.
What Youll Be Doing
Key Account Strategy & Expansion
- Develop and implement competitive account strategies that align with PMIs commercial objectives.
- Identify and create new channel opportunities to expand the affiliate business for both Combustible Cigarettes (CC) and Reduced Risk Products (RRP).
- Leverage data insights to drive market expansion, brand visibility, and long-term partnerships.
- Lead the execution of Key Account investment plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and maximum return on investment.
- Drive customer negotiations, ensuring competitive advantage and mutually beneficial agreements.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop trade programs and optimize sales and distribution strategies.
- Build high-impact customer relationships across all levels, fostering collaboration and long-term business success.
- Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Consumer Experience, Digital, and Indirect Channel Managers) to align go-to-market strategies.
- Manage account budgets, forecasts, and performance analysis to enhance profitability and commercial impact.
- Continuously evaluate competitor strategies, market trends, and sales performance to identify new opportunities.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, training, and mentorship.
- Drive a culture of innovation, agility, and data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure all activities align with local regulations, corporate policies, and industry standard methodologies.
- Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in FMCG sales, with a strong background in Key Account Management.
- Previous experience in a highly regulated industry will be advantageous.
- At least 2 years in a Senior Commercial Management role, leading high-level customer engagements.
- Expertise in trade investment optimization, customer business planning, and strategic negotiations.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to turn insights into action.
- Experience leading complex relationships with third-party partners.
- Strong understanding of omnichannel sales, eCommerce, and consumer engagement strategies.
Strategic & Commercial Foresight Ability to translate market insights into high-impact sales strategies.
Negotiation & Relationship Management Expertise in contract negotiations, trade agreements, and partner engagement.
Analytical & Financial Skills Ability to interpret data and make sound commercial decisions.
