Senior Lecturer

Minimum Requirements

• D-Eng. / D-Tech / PhD qualification in mechanical engineering, with an undergraduate qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of teaching/professional experience
• Evidence of research and postgraduate supervision

Additional Recommendations

• Strong in the Fluid Mechanics and/or Thermodynamics knowledge area(s)
• Good Publication Record
• Good communication and lecturing skills
• A strong passion for teaching and research
• Professional registration with the council

Summary Of Duties

• Teaching, assessing and supervising at all levels
• Development of learning
• The successful candidate is expected to supervise and be actively involved in research in the department
• Assist with administrative and other duties as prescribed by the Head of Department or Representative as delegated.
• Assess experiential training requirements of students
