Senior Lecturer:
- PhD or equivalent NQF level 10 qualification in Surveying/Geomatics, with an undergraduate qualification in Surveying/Geomatics.
- At least 5 years of academic and/or professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years lecturing experience in Surveying/Geomatics.
- Evidence of research and postgraduate supervision, with at least 3 DHET accredited publications in the past 5 years.
- M Tech / MSc / M Eng qualification in Surveying/Geomatics or equivalent, with an undergraduate qualification in Surveying/Geomatics.
- At least 2 years of academic and/or professional experience.
- Required to currently be pursuing or immediately pursue a doctoral qualification in Surveying/Geomatics
- Good communication and lecturing skills
- A strong passion for teaching and research
- Good research track record or relevant research experience and an ability and desire to advance research development in the Department
- Professional registration with SAGC
- Teaching, assessing, and supervising at all levels
- Development of learning material for Geomatics courses
- The successful candidate is expected to supervise or be actively involved in research in the Department
- Teaching, assessing, and supervising at all relevant levels.
- Responsible for modules allocated following fair workload distribution.
- Development of learning materials for different courses.
- Actively involved in research and/or post-graduate supervision in the department.
- Assist with administrative and other duties as prescribed by the Head of Department or representative as delegated.
- Contribute/lead curriculum design.
- Assist the department in the delivery of quality teaching and learning.
