The University of Fort Hare seeks to appoint suitable qualified and experienced candidates for vacant post in Psychology Department-Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities: SENIOR LECTURER
Minimum Requirements
- A doctoral qualification in Psychology or any other related field
- 3 years registration with HPCSA as a Counseling Psychologist
- 5 years experience in the academic environment
- Evidence of scholarly publishing
- Experience of postgraduate supervision
- Knowledge and practice in Psychometric Assessment
- Higher diploma in education or a module in assessment and moderation of student learning
- Evidence of an appropriate community engagement
- Experience in professional clinical practice and management
Minimum Requirements
- Masters degree in Psychology or related fields
- 3 years' registration with HPCSA as a Counseling Psychologist
- Knowledge and practice in Psychometric Assessment
- PhD or registration towards a PhD in Psychology or any other related field
- Experience in professional clinical practice and management2 years instructional experience in a higher education environment
- Teach across broad areas of psychology at undergraduate and postgraduate level
- Provide case/research supervision of Student Counseling Psychologists
- Mentor junior members of staff and postgraduate students (responsibility for a senior lecturer)
- Develop and innovate teaching methods and curricula
- Participate in appropriate community engagement projects identified by the department, the faculty and the university
- Produce scholarly research and publications in the field of psychology
- Participate and contribute to departmental, faculty and university administrative and committee responsibilities
