SENIOR MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT

Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Providing personal and secretarial assistance to the Director: Comprehensive Online Education Services;
- Providing extensive administrative, logistic and hospitality services to the Directorate;
- Maintaining the financial processes in the Directorate, including budgeting,
- Preparing high-level electronic documentation, e.g. agendas, minutes, annual and
- Organising symposia, forums, conferences, functions, workshops, meetings,
- Participating in marketing and liaison activities, e.g. the maintenance of the
social media presence.
Minimum Requirements
- A relevant three-year post-matric diploma (e.g. Finance/Accounting, Project
- Five years office management or relevant experience;
- Valid drivers licence.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES):
- Fully proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Expert working knowledge of computer packages, (e.g. MS Office suite, and in
- Basic working knowledge of systems like PeopleSoft and Blackboard, or the ability to
- Expert knowledge of agendas and minute-taking, and financial record-keeping;
- Strong interpersonal and hospitality skills;
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;
- Accuracy and precision;
- Adaptability and willingness to deal with constant change;
- Confidentiality and integrity;
- Organisational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking;
- Ability to work under pressure and a tolerance for high levels of stress;
- Self-motivated and disciplined.
- A relevant three-year post-matric degree (e.g. Finance/Accounting, Project
relevant experience;
- Financial and project management experience.
