Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To initiate business development key account initiatives within the Faculty of Engineering. Growing faculty revenue streams, with a focus on money stream three (3) and unlocking strategic industry collaborations and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a funding target and deliver on the agreed targets of at least R50M.
  • Planning customer interaction that supports the larger account strategy.
  • Networks extensively within NWU, across functions and levels, assembling resources on behalf of the customer needs.
  • Identifying strategic national and international funding opportunities.
  • Funding proposal development.
Minimum Requirements
  • An honours degree (NQF level 8) in a STEM field.
  • A minimum of six (6) years business development experience.
  • A minimum of six (6) years experience in fundraising/attracting project funding.
ADDED ADVANTAGE
  • A Masters degree (NQF Level 9) in Business Administration.
  • A minimum of five (5) years experience in a middle management position.
