Qualifications
- BSc in Chemical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices
- Experience with design, construction, and operation of oil and gas facilities
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools
- Lead and oversee mechanical engineering projects related to oil and gas facilities
- Design, develop, and evaluate mechanical systems and components
- Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Provide technical support to other team members and departments
- Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and contractors
- Conduct site visits and inspections to identify and resolve mechanical issues
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines
- Review and approve project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports
- Participate in meetings, presentations, and training sessions
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices
