Essentials
Tertiary qualification in Microbiology, 5+ years full-time work experience in an ISO 17025 microbiology lab with quality management & proficiency testing experience. A strong leader with excellent communication skills, highly computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook), willing to work afterhours when necessary.

Are you an experienced Microbiologist with great leadership and management experience? A Cape Town based testing lab is recruiting for a suitable candidate join their team to manage lab staff & quality-related aspects of the micro lab. The laboratory is ISO17025 accredited and thus quality of testing and quality of results of analyses are critical.
Requirements
- BSc Hons Microbiology or Biotechnology
- 5y+ hands on, working experience in a commercial micro testing lab
- Lab management experience: lab staff, materials, products & equipment,
- Proven working experience in an ISO17025 lab environment
- South African citizen, with drivers license & own transport
- Self-motivated, accurate, hard-working, strong ability to lead a team
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken & written)
- Outstanding computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook),
- Willing to work on standby afterhours/weekends,
- Strong administrative skills, organised & efficient approach
