Swift Silliker (Pty) Ltd t/a Merieux NutriSciences based in Claremont, Cape Town has a vacancy for a Senior Microbiologist responsible for Quality Control.
Job respoonsibilities:
- The candidate will be accountable to implement, maintain and manage the quality policies and procedures in the Microbiology Laboratory according to ISO 17025 standards and Global Quality Procedures.
- Responsibilities will include internal audits, quality checks, monitoring and investigation of Non - Conformances, and other microbiology work related to the Quality System.
Job requirements:
- A national diploma, B. Degree of similar in Microbio.
- 5-8 years' proven experience in a micro laboratory and/or quality management post.
- An advantage would be knowledge of a laboratory information management system (LIMS).
- Excellent organizational skills and multitasking abilities.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Able to work independently, accuracy of work essential, working to deadlines.
- Able to take initiative and be pro-active.
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO17025 / Completed SANAS Lab Systems Course.
- Additional auditing courses completed / auditing skills and advantage.
