The purpose of this role will be to support the business to achieve its strategic objectives through the development and implementation of a best practice OD framework to ensure an optimal functioning of the organization, its teams and employees
What are you going to do?
- Actively participate in identifying organizational capabilities that influence and support the business strategy; identifying current and future capability gaps and develop strategies to drive organizational effectiveness. Monitor and evaluates the application of these strategies.
- Keep abreast of trends, legislation and best practices within the organizational effectiveness field in order to optimize service delivery.
- Collaborate with Human Capital to facilitate and deliver value adding organization effectiveness programs and interventions to address organizational effectiveness gaps in line with THE CLIENT frameworks.
- Strategically participate in influencing and shaping the THE CLIENT Culture.
- Ensure continuous improvement in alignment of culture to support line managers and employees in building effective engagement platforms.
- Influence leaders to engage the business to align people effectively to the strategy.
- Implement best practice and cutting edge approaches are used to ensure organizational effectiveness, leadership effectiveness and employee engagement to support business strategy.
- Strategically influence and collaborate with stakeholders to implement leadership development interventions in line with THE CLIENT leadership framework.
- Coach business leaders, advice and provide tools to them in order to successfully lead effectively in their environment.
- Strategically and pro-actively drive the talent management strategy of THE CLIENT to identify, develop and retain talent to ensure a pipeline of successors.
- Diagnose the development needs of individuals, leaders and teams and determine appropriate psychometric assessments to increase their effectiveness through feedback, coaching and train.
- Facilitate advice and guide career management interventions that focus on goal setting, career selection and job seeking to help individuals make career decisions.
- Build and maintain effective business relationships with all stakeholders.
- Facilitate organizational effectiveness interventions that enhance the achievement of business strategy (i.e. Strategic alignment sessions, team effectiveness and business performance).
- Diagnose, develop and implement OD interventions to ensure optimal functioning of individuals and teams. Monitor, measure, evaluate and realign interventions to address needs.
- Advise and guide business in change initiatives through design of change methodologies, interventions, plans or processes.
- Continuously improve OD approach through research and implementation of international best practice.
- Partner with stakeholders to provide best practice solutions and become a trusted business partner.
- Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.

- Mentor OD Consultants, Interns, Assistants and members of the Human Capital team
- Contribute to the financial planning process within area.
- Identify opportunities to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency.
- Manage financial and other company resources under your control responsibly and efficiently.
- Identify and manage risks in the Human Capital space and communicate through appropriate channels
Minimum Requirements/Skills:
- Relevant Master's Degree or studying towards a relevant Master's degree
- Registration with the HPCSA as an Industrial Psychologist/Psychologist
- Registered psychometrist (Independent Practice)
- 5 - 7 years organizational development experience within an insurance or financial services environment
- Exposure to the delivery of organizational design and development interventions
