Job Description
As a Senior Platform Engineer you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure and tooling that enables our engineering teams to deliver world-class products and services. You will be responsible for driving cloud adoption, improving system reliability, and streamlining development processes through best practices in SRE and DevOps.

KEY RESULT AREAS
Cloud Management
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure, with a focus on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Implement cost-effective solutions while ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Define and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
- Implement disaster recovery and incident response processes to maintain system reliability.
- Automate and streamline deployment, provisioning, and configuration processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure a smooth, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Develop and maintain tools and scripts to improve operational efficiency.
- Create monitoring, alerting, and logging systems for proactive issue resolution.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other engineers.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior team members.
- Take ownership of deliverables and provide day-to-day leadership, mentoring and coaching of junior staff.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and associated services.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Expertise in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with SRE principles, best practices and tooling.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Shell, etc.).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified SRE, or relevant credentials are a plus.
