- Senior Manager: Sourcing is responsible to develop, maintain, plan and execute sourcing strategies within commercial and technology-related categories. Lead cross-functional teams to drive results on categories, sourcing, supplier risk activities
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent
- Relevant professional qualification e.g. CIPS Level 6
- Minimum of 7 years relevant working experience
- Minimum of 3 years managerial experience
- Procurement and Supply chain experience
- Telecommunication and/or ICT experience (advantageous)
Sourcing Strategies:
- Responsible for development and execution of category strategies
- Responsible for assessing supplier risks and materials and recommending risk mitigation plans
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive results on category, sourcing, supplier risk activities
- Responsible for continuous improvements to performance metrics, programs/processes, and innovations to achieve higher levels of business value.
- Identify, build, and maintain mutually beneficial relationships, partnerships, and alliances with select suppliers through Supplier Relationship Management programs
- Develop a list of strategic or bottle neck suppliers within a category of spend and manage compliance, relationships, and performance
- Recommend changes to procurement processes and procedures as needed
- Responsible for developing and executing Sourcing Strategies, leading Sourcing Events e.g. RFP.
- Develop cost saving targets
- Conduct market and competitive conditions by category
- Ensure compliance with BBBEE regulations
- Monitor performance of BBBEE suppliers in line with the overall company strategy - remove barriers of entry and promote acceptable criteria of performance standards
- Ensure the creation of BBBEE awareness in the work performed by sourcing team
- Provide input in the creation of the departmental strategy in line with the overarching business goals
- Risk assessment - quantifying risk that may result from sourcing activities
- Risk Response - maintain and communicate risk contingency plans
- Alignment of sourcing metrics with shareholders metrics
- Leverage suppliers and partners capabilities to realise bottom line savings
- Mitigate risk and ensure value delivery and cost competitiveness of suppliers by effective sourcing
- Ensure effective implementation of the strategy by means of implementation of applicable policies and processes
