A company known for its expertise in processing and marketing a wide range of FMCG products is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to implement and maintain purchasing, contract management and vendor management strategies and processes in the Western Cape. In this job, youll ensure compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements, corporate governance principles; maintain procurement and contract management procedures and practices; enforce adherence to trading terms and conditions for all vendors; conduct annual price reviews with suppliers and service providers; conduct annual review of strategic commodities and suppliers; investigate supplier issues, ensure efficient and optimised contract management and administration processes; and ensure compliant vendor management and administration processes.
The perfect fit for this job should have the relevant bachelors degree qualification (BCom or BTech) and at least 8 years of experience in a senior FMCG Procurement role (or similar). You should understand supply chain processes, quality control and assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. You should be able to communicate fluently in Afrikaans and English.
