A software development company in East London, Eastern Cape is requiring a Senior Programmer. The incumbent will be responsible to perform system application programming and related tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical support and ensuring technical stability of application systems, including, performing production standby tasks;develop and maintain application software, code programs according to specifications and standards, compile and debug coded programs; test compiled programs; compile/update the required formal system documentation; compile implementation plans;plan and execute tasks on time; and create and maintain project documentation; execute technical investigations, including technical problem impact analysis on application system software; integrate support of applications by continuously considering and investigating the possibilities of application/system integration, and advising and reporting on findings; provide technical training and mentorship; handle problem and service requests; and quality assurance entails adherence to set standards and procedures, as well as thorough testing of programs before moving to the next stage in the software development lifecycle, participation in software reviews and contributing to process improvement
Requirements
Matric, Tertiary education in Software Development, Drivers Licence and at least 5 years expereince in a simaliar position.
