Job Summary
Payments Strategic Initiatives within CIB Transactional Banking Tech is looking for a Senior Project Manager to work in high complexity environments to oversee and manage the overall technical strategy & operational planning, resourcing, execution, business performance management & monitoring processes across technical product & service tribes in an estate. This includes but is not limited to:
- Strategic Partnership, Planning, & Coordination
- Business Performance Management, Reporting, Metrics & Analysis
- Design & Ideation
- Resource Management
- Financial Management
- People Business complexity is determined by: 1. Customer Impact 2. Number of integration points: o Data o Teams to talk to o Systems o Enabling function o 3rd party vs. internal 3. Complexity of business rules & Processes 4. Level of operational readiness 5. Introduction of new or changing old Tech (e.g. redo platforms)
Key critical skills and experience required
- B-degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Banking or Risk
- Min 5 years hands on project management experience
- Project Management experience in software product development - highly beneficial
- Proven track record of solution delivery across various streams and integration with various internal and external stakeholders
- Experience working / managing both Business and Tech requirements with the ability to conceptualize complex projects
- Experience in agile project methodologies
- Managed large budgets
- Knowledge of Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, or other project management tools
- Must exhibit strong interpersonal skill, with ability to work with a variety of personality types
- Experience in strategy and policy setting in a Financial Services environment
- Experience in client relationship management
- Managing complex and multiple stakeholders
- Experience working within a technology organization
- Some experience in Systems Design & Development
- Expertise in Risk Management, Governance, Compliance & Business Continuity Management & Disaster Recovery.
- Effectively manage the implementation of small to large, including industry wide, projects within the Payments Technology space
- Run projects from requirements and design to successful completion
- Create a competitive advantage through IT by enabling process improvements focused on efficiency, quality and agility
- Lead project teams through the requirements analysis, design, development, testing and deployment in terms of scope, complexity, schedule and resources
- Lead project teams in planning and estimating milestones, scheduling and assisting in defining required resources
- Proactively engage in project risk mitigation
- Work to control change, adjust the timeline, and project scope to accommodate approved changes
- Monitoring overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary
- Applying change control and configuration management processes
- Reporting through agreed lines on project progress through highlight reports and end-stage assessments
- Engaging and developing robust relationships with stakeholders and third parties
- Maintaining an awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact as well as alignment of priorities and timelines
- Adopting and applying appropriate quality strategies and standards
- Employ appropriate governance, compliance, and risk oversight on all projects under management
- Conducting a project evaluation review to assess how well the project was managed
- Manage project costs and budgets
- Role will cover things like end to end development life cycles, audits, testing, project governance, documentation, updates to repositories etc.
Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology
