SciTech is seeking a full-time Senior Python Developer (On-site) for our client in the Sandton. In this role, the Senior Python Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing complex web applications and working with an agile team to develop and maintain efficient code using Python. This is an on-site role in which you will collaborate with a team of developers, so strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment are critical for success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience developing in Python
- Experience with Django, Flask, or Pyramid web frameworks
- Experience with agile development practices
- Knowledge of SQL databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React.js are a plus
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines or cloud computing platforms, including AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus
