A medium sized construction company based in Cape Town Western Cape is currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Job requirements:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in Contract Administration.
- Minimum BTech in QS is preferred.
- Registered with the SACQSP
- Experience in administering all aspects of the Construction Contracts which include but not limited to:
- Preparation and submission claims for payment.
- Preparing and interpreting turnover/cash flow projections and profit/loss forecasts
- Strong administrative skills and knowledge of Principle Building agreements – knowledge of JBCC suite of contract non negotiable
- Preparing bills of quantities for main or sub-contracts, including the measurement and description of work, and the drafting of preliminaries, preambles and contract conditions
- Prepare cost reports, tender evaluations and sub-contractor appointment for approval by contracts manager
- Perform risk, value management and cost control
- Full working knowledge of Microsoft office suite to include day to day experience of excel sheets, excellent report writing skills and document management.
