Senior Social Media Specialist
Overall Purpose:
Planning, implementing and monitoring Flight Centre Travel Groups Organic Social Media Strategy and Content Creation to increase brand awareness, engagement, enquiry and enquiry value. Improve Marketing efforts and increase sales.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities (KRAs)
- Maintain Flight Centre Social Media pages and profiles.
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement.
- Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written, etc.) across social media platforms (Meta, X, Global Tiktok account.).
- Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications and appropriately apply that knowledge to increase engagement and visibility.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate social media campaigns with overall marketing efforts.
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
- Provide recommendations strategies for account performance opportunities.
- Work on strategies to increase following on Flight Centre account.
- Plan and manage Facebook Live with
- Assist with covering and maximising reach of company live events as needed via the companys social platforms.
- Focus on customer needs with Customer Experience Team
- Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes.
- Collaborate with other departments to manage company reputation, coordinate promotions, and increase reach.
- Assist in training staff on social media platforms.
- Assist in helping staff/stakeholder build their social media platforms.
- Keeping all our listings updated(correct store addresses, phone numbers and operating hours)
- Making sure we keep expanding our reach by identifying other location directories eg, Bing
- Monthly content with artwork to be sent on the second last working day of the month to Location Bank
- Identify trends for stores and adjust content based on preference.
- Weekly reporting to be sent to finance team.
- Monthly reporting to be sent to finance team and myself on the 1-3 day of the month.
Minimum Requirement: Matric and Relevant Tertiary qualifications
Experience:
- 5years in a social media role or similar
- Digital Marketing/Social Media Certificate course or similar
- A thorough understanding of the social landscape
- An understanding of digital marketing generally
- Digital fluency - using technology and apps to optimiseefficiency
- In-depth hands-on campaign management experience across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Knowledge or understanding of social media and other content management tools.
- Experience in content generation.
