Role Overview:
This is a core developer role, focused on building, maintaining and optimizing the data infrastructure that powers the DataProphet CONNECT & PRESCRIBE products.
Roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Designing, building and maintaining the core DataProphet time-series data platform, including APIs, database systems and end-user libraries.
- Optimizing our code to handle billions of data.
- Contributing to the development of core product roadmaps, including future feature specifications & designs.
- Systems analysis, optimisation, troubleshooting and identification of unique performance bottlenecks.
- Enabling and accelerating the development of the DataProphets core industrial machine learning product suite, including CONNECT and PRESCRIBE.
- Building declarative cloud infrastructure (AWS) through tools like Terraform and SaltStack.
- Technical leadership and mentoring of team members.
- 5+ years professional experience or expert level proficiency in Python.
- Experience working with Python web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask or Django.
- Extensive experience working with high performance database systems, with a focus on database & query design and optimization.
- Deep diagnostic & debugging skills.
- Bonus: Experience with time-series databases such as TimescaleDB & Redis TimeSeries.
- Bonus: Expertise in performance critical production systems, including utilizing multi-layer caching strategies.
- Comfortable working with Linux, Docker, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Experience working with and building systems utilizing public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, Alibaba).
- Proven experience using security best practices for cloud and on-prem systems is an added advantage.
