Responsibilities And Duties
- Greet customers warmly and professionally, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in the service area.
- Act as a liaison between customers and the service department, clearly explaining vehicle issues, repair options, and estimated timelines.
- Answer customer inquiries promptly and courteously, both in person and over the phone.
- Provide regular updates to customers on the status of their vehicle's service or repair process.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and accurately identify service or repair requirements.
- Explain recommended services and repairs to customers, including associated costs and potential alternatives.
- Provide transparent and detailed service estimates to customers, seeking approval before proceeding with any work.
- Create and manage service repair orders accurately in the dealership's system, documenting all necessary information.
- Schedule appointments for vehicle servicing, ensuring an efficient and organized workflow in the service department.
- Coordinate with the parts department to ensure required parts are available for scheduled repairs.
- Collaborate with the service technicians to understand the technical aspects of vehicle repairs and effectively convey information to customers in a non-technical manner.
- Address customer concerns or complaints related to service quality, taking appropriate actions to resolve issues promptly.
- Recommend additional products or services that align with customers' needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to promote loyalty and repeat business.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Accurately record and report service-related data as required by the dealership and Isuzu.
- Matric/Grade 12, additional technical or automotive-related qualifications will be advantageous.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical knowledge or willingness to learn about Isuzu vehicles and their service requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for service scheduling and record-keeping.
- A valid driver's licence
- Service advisors courses completed, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Master Advisor certificate will be advantageous.
