JOB TITLE: LOCOMOTIVE SERVICE CORRIDOR MANAGER RICHARDSBAY

Alstom Rolling Stock South Africa (Pty) Ltd is looking for an Service Corridor Manager for our Traxx Africa project based in Richardsbay.
THE PURPOSE OF THE MATERIAL PLANNER ROLE IS TO:
Manage several Customer Sites, oversee depot performance on executing Warranty and TSSSA objectives. (Reliability, Availability and Quality). Managing customer relationship for the related corridor. (Cape Corridor). Also to ensure implementation and application of Alstom Ethics, Compliance, EHS and Quality policies at the depot level. Manage the depot resources.
THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Deploy, manage implementation of Alstom & customer EHS + security rules and relevant PI/ TSSSA processes on customer site
- Manage Customers different sites to ensure they are aligned with Alstom objectives (TSSSA and Warranty objectives)
- Ensure fleet availability according to contractual commitments
- Manage and develop execution of contract, including PI Warranty and TSSSA obligations
- Support Site Managers within scope and provide/ manage relevant resources, direction, operational activities to ensure successful performance.
- Responsible for managing operations at all depots and sites within scope
- Support Site Manager and the quality team in eliminating defects
- Asset management at the various depots and sites
- Ensure and lead regular meetings with relevant sites, depots and cross functional teams to drive timeous resolution of any blockages and timeous reporting of site activities and performance. (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Accountable for the management of dashboards on open items in conjunction with Engineering and other support functions
- Ensure the accurate usage and alignment of systems (Health hub, GSI, 8D) in achieving company objectives
- Management and co-ordination of customer relations
- Develop a support strategy and plan to improve on QCD performance to ensure Customer satisfaction
- Action customer concerns to support in managing operation/ relationship
- Engage and support the maintainer (Transnet Engineering)
- Provide REX of the Warranty /TSSSA to the organization through Alstom
- Identify/Support Project management & Services for Upsell opportunities versus customer needs
- Manage open Audits
- Manage team, material availability, technical expertise and management of quality control of maintainer
- Ensure people management in line with all Alstom People process and maintain and improve employee engagement, and relationships
- Manage labour relationship in the event of union involvement on site
- Uphold ethics and compliance
- Minimum of 10 years of technical experience, mechanical or electrical / electronics, Troubleshooting within a Locomotives environment
- Minimum of 7 years experience in similar environment with at least 5 years managing people experience
- Good knowledge of operations, implementing and managing of Quality, Safety and Environmental systems
- Field Experience in Locomotive Environment
- Good customer service experience
- Project Execution (technical/industrial)
- General Railway safety knowledge23E Locomotive Experience will be an advantage
