Purpose of Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in carrying out repairs and maintenance on Weir equipment on customer sites and in the Service Centre workshop.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Adhere to all Safety Health Environment (SHE) and housekeeping requirements at the branch and customer sites at all times. Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times. Keep contract packs up to date.
- Service: Carry out maintenance, repairs, inspections and overhauling on Weir Minerals equipment on customer sites and in the service centre. Installation and commissioning of pumps and other Weir Minerals products. Demonstrate a strong technical understanding, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
- Customer support: Provide a high-level of service repair work on service contracts. Prepare and submit field service reports after completion. Assist with training of mine personnel or Weir staff. Offer new products and value adding solutions to contracts.
- Business growth: Increase Services revenue by identifying new opportunities on customer sites.
- Reporting: Submit monthly reports on consumption of spares, pump performance history and equipment performance on customer sites.
- Grade 12 or N3 Certificate or equivalent
- Qualified: Fitter / Fitter & Turner / Millwright (Verified Section 13 / 26D qualification)
- Valid drivers licence
- Computer literate Microsoft Office suite
- 2-4 years maintenance experience in minerals processing plants
- Knowledge of the Mine, Health & Safety Act
- You should be customer focused and take pride in the quality of work you deliver. You should be able communicate clearly at all levels, solve problems in a timely manner and have a strong technical understanding.
