Purpose of Role: Generally assist artisans and machinists to meet production targets and maintain proper housekeeping throughout the shopfloor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Maintain a safe work environment. Maintain 5S housekeeping and safety on machines.
• Production: Set jig / fixture for the following job in-line for specified machines. Set and service tooling for the following job in-line for specified machines. Maintain and service all jigs and fixtures in designated areas.
• Quality: Assisting to obtain the 1800 hours a week. Maintain 100% quality throughput.
• Lean: Reduction in machine set up / part setup. Increasing run hours on machines. Reduction in re-setup. Reduction in downtime waiting for tooling / jigs /fixtures.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Experience

• 4 years post apprenticeship experience
• 5 years post trade test experience
• 2 years experience operating CNC machines

Education

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Qualified Fitter and Turner
• Valid Forklift and Overhead Crane Licenses
