Shaft Timberman

A Mining house based in the North West region is looking for a Shaft Timberman.

Duties

• Performing shaft maintenance and adhering to safety standards
• Must have experience laying tracks, construction and blasting
• Sound knowledge of vertical hafts
• -Responsible to handle, receive, store and issue explosives
• Maintain clear blockages and repairs to shafts

Qualifications/Requirements

• Valid Onsetter Certificate and a Permanent Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines
• 3 years underground experience
• Computer Literate
• Ability to read and write English
• Ability to communicate with people on different levels
