Job Purpose
To undertake onsite Safety, Health, Environmental, and Risk (SHER) responsibilities, providing administrative support to the Operations team as required. This role is essential in ensuring that SHER practices are effectively implemented, managed, and continuously improved, in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
Key Accountabilities and Outputs
SHER Framework, Initiatives, and Communications
Administration: Manage the Health & Safety inbox, accident forms, safety risks reported, and general queries.
Policy Development: Coordinate the development of health & safety policies, systems of work, and procedures according to regional requirements.
Awareness: Lead SHER awareness initiatives and ensure all communications are clear and easily understood by all employees.
Compliance: Proactively identify onsite activities that pose threats to health and safety and take necessary actions, including the suspension of unsafe activities
Ensure SHER Compliance
Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections, identifying non-compliance, near-misses, and unsafe acts, and implement corrective actions.
Reporting: Compile detailed safety reports as required and ensure compliance with statutory obligations in all areas related to health, safety, and welfare at work.
Audits: Coordinate audits for allocated projects and ensure alignment with the BevCo Contractor
Management System.
Risk Management: Assist in conducting risk assessments and ensure regular reviews for all work equipment and operations.
SHER Mitigating Actions
Action Plans: Develop and recommend mitigating actions for non-compliance issues and escalate where necessary.
Prevention: Assist in creating practical plans to rectify non-compliances, mitigate risks, and prevent reoccurrences.
