Job Description
The role involves managing relationships with dealership stakeholders to grow short-term insurance sales and act as an ambassador for the Absa Insurance brand. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales/business development role with dealerships and a strong understanding of financial services products in the automotive industry.
Key responsibilities include:
- Relationship Management: Building and maintaining professional relationships with dealership stakeholders through networking.
- Business Development: Identifying new opportunities to grow short-term insurance sales in line with the Absa Business unit strategy. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue goals for the region.
- Sales Management: Monitor and analyse sales metrics to identify areas of improvement.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer and dealer satisfaction
- Market Intelligence: Gathering market intelligence through research to stay up to date with market developments.
- People Management: Coaching, training, and supporting F&I Managers at dealerships.
- Keeping up to date with relevant knowledge, legislation, and developments within the business unit and banking industry that may impact the business.
- Proven experience as a sales manager or in a similar role
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or a related field
