Focus on improving the economics and efficiencies of mining by designing, implementing, monitoring, adapting and reporting on daily, weekly and monthly production design and schedules. These interventions are to align to medium-, and long term planning and strategies.
Role and Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering
- 3-5 years experience in surface or open pit mining
- Familiar with surface or open pit mining software
- Develop and implement mine schedules
- Develop production schedules, costing and budgeting
- Develop weekly and monthly execution plans
- Develop spatial reconciliation plans
- Valid passport
Skills:
- Blast hole designs and blast block planning.
- Analyse production results against planned schedules and recommend corrective action.
- Ensure operational plan is implemented. Determine number of faces required to ensure that production targets can be achieved.
- Promote and assure adherence to safety, health and environmental procedures. Identify unsafe and hazardous situations.
