Job Description: The NBC Cargo Division requires a Code 14 Driver who will be responsible for driving a side tipper truck and willing to start immediately.
Tasks include, amongst others: • Responsible for the vehicle
• Perform daily Pre & Post inspection on vehicle and submit written report
• Loading and off-loadingvarious bulk products within South Africa and neighbouring countries
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain appropriate communication with operating officer
• Consistently deliver entire route in a timely manner
• Your truck must be operated safely at all times
• Abide by the regulations as set out in Occupational Health and Safety Act, company policies and the regulations of the road Requirements:
• Be at least 25 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and a PDP
• High school or equivalent
• Have minimum commercial driving experience within last three years
• Be able to read, speak and write English
• Pass criminal background check, medical certificate, drug test, and DOT physical
• Be able to complete and pass a road test
• Be of legal status to work in the Republic of South Africa
• Have reliable transportation to and from work
• Be able to work in all types of weather
• Be able to work when it gets dark
• Be able to adapt to situations to meet customers’ needs
• Know the importance of safety
• Prepared to work overtime and weekends when needed (including night shifts.
