About The Role
As the Signal Maintenance Technician, you are integral to the success of V/Lines Asset Management Maintenance Group.
The responsibility of the Signal Maintenance Technician position is to provide reactive and preventative maintenance of signalling equipment and systems for Regional Rail Network. This position covers the CBD to sunshine lines. Assisting regional work may be required as necessary.
Key Accountabilities include:
Maintain and install signalling and communications equipment.
Complete routine maintenance tasks in accordance with the technical maintenance plan (TMP) and servicing schedules.
Attend fault rectification tasks and investigate and report on incidents associated with the performance of signalling equipment and systems.
Enter task completion reports to the maintenance management system.
About You
This position will suit a Qualified signal maintenance technician or an A grade electrician who is looking to start a traineeship to become a qualified Signal maintenance technician.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

- Current Drivers Licence
- Have a strong communication, safety focused and be a positive team player.
- Strong Fault finding, problem solving and diagnostics skills.
- The willingness to work permanent night shift with some overtime and away work when required.
- Cert IV in Rail and Tram Signalling Systems
- Current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence.
