To ensure that the right order is delivered to the correct customer within the required delivery time frame. Also ensuring a high level of customer service, as well as the completion of all administration to ensure route closure.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Driver will be responsible for the entire load – including stock, pallets and returns from the customer.
The Driver will ensure that he follows the given routes to meet all On Time Deliveries. All deviations must be reported to Diplomat and that all documentation is signed back.
Will ensure all returns are uplifted from the customer and returned for debriefing.
The vehicle is the responsibility of the Driver, thus he must ensure all daily check sheets are compared, faults reported and rectified. The Driver must also notify Diplomat of any service or licensing require-ments for his vehicle.
The Driver must ensure that his vehicle securely loaded and locked / sealed before departing for delivery.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Completed Matric or equivalent accredited by SAQA .
A valid Code 14 Drivers License with PDP.
3 years’ experience as a Code 14 driver
Good knowledge of the Gauteng region and routes.
Ability to travel long distance with safe driving record.
Ability to read and understand specific vehicle operating manuals to ensure safe and appropriate operations of the vehicle.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
