A property development company based in Cape Town Northern Suburb is seeking a Site Agent / Foreman in the Residential Housing industry.
The successful candidate will coordinate operations on multiple construction sites, manage all contractors and ensure the delivery of top-quality residential construction projects on time and on budget.
He or she will plan, coordinate, execute and monitor all construction activities on multiple construction sites including but not limited to the management of daily schedules, required materials, staff and sub- contractors.
Market related salary based on experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinating the work of staff and subcontractors across multiple building sites.
Manage the performance of all relevant Contractors and/or Subcontractors, ensuring quality and timely completion of scheduled tasks.
Source suitable Contractors and Subcontractors for proposed projects.
Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method and high-quality standards.
Carry out quality control and assurance of all work done on sites.
Managing all aspects of the site including housekeeping, daily schedules, and health & safety.
Managing equipment and required materials.
Carry out and record site inspections.
Maintain all necessary foreman documents and progress reports as required
Desired Experience & Qualification:
A certificate or diploma in building will be an added advantage.
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and health & safety guidelines.
At least 5 years experience in residential housing industry Foreman role or construction management.
Strong project and site management skills.
Proven track record in Residential Housing industry from foundation and wet works to finishes.
Broad range of experience with all aspects of residential construction including bricklaying, roofs & trusses, plastering, tiling and other flooring types, painting, ceilings, plumbing, basic electrical, kitchens, bathrooms and vanities.
Proven track record in dealing with numerous sub-contractors on large building projects.
Sound knowledge of NHBRC standards, requirements and guidelines.
Very good eye for details for quality of wet-works and finishes.
Excellent understanding and interpretation of all construction drawings from foundation to finishes.
Essential Skill Set:

- Must be a reactive problem solver and a hard worker
- Drivers license and own vehicle required.
