Our client is sourcing a Site Supervisor to oversee the development of a variety of renewable energy projects.
The successful candidate is an experienced individual who can come in and hit the ground running.

Responsibilities
- Analyse the clients needs and tailor the solution best suited to the client and their expectations, always ensuring technical feasibility. Continue communication throughout project lifecycle.
- Develop the project plan in accordance with specifications and timelines agreed with the client and EPC.
- Maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and other third-party service providers.
- Assist in the definition, scope, and objectives of long-term projects (including PPAs), involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Support the Research and Sales Team during all phases of assessments of Tenders (due diligence, feasibility study, financial model, technical solution etc.).
- Ensure that assigned projects are carried out in compliance with the Groups objectives of safety, time, cost, and quality and within SANS standards.
- Monitor multiple projects, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
- Overseeing EPC work crews, equipment quality and tracking of daily project progress.
- Review engineering plans, overseeing construction, obtain relevant permits, coordinate with construction professionals to ensure compliance with building codes and specifications.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, including prices and terms of payment.
- Produce weekly project progress reports.
- Installing of data equipment, conducting technical site assessments, maintenance and repair and project sign off.
- Preparation of PIM, feasibility study, financial models for variety of energy saving solutions including solar and biomass.
- Ensure that the Group Policies and Procedures are followed and complied with.
- Regular traveling to project sites.
- Be available for weekend and nighttime duties and call outs.
- Monitor daily, report monthly on, maintain, and attend to clients and projects who are under O&M.
- Manage O&M site challenges as and when needed.
- Procure necessary equipment for maintenance.
- Project admin, filing, and document control.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of different technologies (wind, solar, hydro, biomass/gas, and latest clean energy technology) and aptitude to switch to different technologies.
- Electrical Engineering (Light/Heavy Current) National Diploma essential.
- Trade test.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Renewable Energy projects from early development / concept stages through to construction, commissioning, handover.
- Drivers licence and own transport.
- Wiremans licence advantageous.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification advantageous.
- Proficient knowledge MS Office, Outlook, Excel, MS Project or similar.
- Track record of working on site and executing the project within the timelines.
- Track record of commissioning the project with a smooth ramp up.
- Budgetary control and experience of completing the projects within costs and in time frame.
- Ability to analyse SLDs.
- Strong understanding of equipment and software.
