Skills Development Coordinator

Our client, in the Manufacturing industry, is seeking a Skills Development Coordinator to join their team, based in East London.

Duties:-
  • Ensure organizational and individual training needs are identified
  • Compliance with legislation such as the BCEA, EEA, LRA, MIBCO Main Agreement as well as internal policies and procedures
  • Compile monthly training schedule
  • Update training plan and other relevant training reports
  • Ensure accurate training records are maintained
  • Administer tertiary study loans
  • Administer training agreements
  • Manage employee development committee process
  • Compile and submit Workplace Skills Plan to MERSETA
  • Compile and submit annual training report to MERSETA
  • Ensure maximum return on grant payments
  • Plan and coordinate learnerships and skills programs
  • Coordinate on the job training and classroom training to satisfy curricula
  • Develop curricula and learning material for all positions
  • Coordinate the development of training matrix for all departments
  • Coordinate training initiatives to deliver on training needs
  • Draft EE Plans / Reports
  • Providing ad-hoc Generalist HR support
Minimum Requirements:-
  • Matric and HR-related qualification
  • Approximately 2 years' experience in training and development
  • Sound knowledge of South African legislation BCEA, EEA, LRA and MIBCO Main Agreement
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Good Human Relations skills for excellent internal customer service
  • Excellent Administration skills, including general HR administration
  • Initiative, good problem solving skills, excellent time management skills and above average communication skills
