Job Purpose
The incumbent would provide strategic and executional direction in the development of the data, analytics, & insights capability. This role will interface with all Chapters, Group Technology, Data Management Office, Risk and Compliance and other governance forums, agencies and partners, to determine business requirements using data, insights and technology as an enabler. Utilise insights gained to influence the strategic and tactical marketing decisions.
Job Responsibilities
Establish guardrails
- Develop data, analytics and insights guardrails
- Monitor budget to ensure effective use of resources
- Develop data and analytics strategy aligned to business strategy to ensure alignment between data, analytics and insights
- Integrate and align with other chapter capabilities and clusters to ensure consistent approaches and practices across missions/BAU requests
- Review and innovate to create fit for purpose marketing and data insights and opportunities
- Manage team members by allocating resources to missions
- Manage agile implementation by managing the sprint backlog, allocating resources and team members
- Identify training and capability building needs and develop content and training materials relating to capability building need
- Provide input and support to Chapter Lead in QBR and PI Planning
- Provide insights to strategy
- Communicate/socialise technology policies, procedures and guardrails with Enterprise Marketing & Clusters/Pods and missions to ensure usage of tools, systems and platforms
- Conduct regular quality assurance checks and provide guidance during execution BAU/ missions and align to data and analytics guardrails
- Setup data visualisation for group marketing
- Ensure consistency in methodology and results
- Maintain the integrity of the data
- Coordinate and manage access control
- Review specialist data and analytics requests from Mission Lead and determine level of support for mission/ BAU delivery (if required, specialist to form part of executional squad)
- Share marketing analytics insights of data and analytics chapter in the relevant forums and committees
- Participate in the development of the Data, Analytics and Insights Chapter initiatives for the overall planning, and performance management, monitoring and tracking of journey effectiveness and to better manage risks.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Field of Study: A marketing, data or technology relevant qualification
Preferred Certifications
Certified SAFe 5 Agilist
Minimum Experience Level
3 - 6 years in marketing and 1 - 2 years in management
Technical / Professional Knowledge
- Expertise in data, analytics and technology (generalist)
- Written and oral communication skills
