Summary
We have an opening for a new social media manager for our newly opened Cape Town Market to showcase the best of the market through creative content creation, utilising both photography and videography skills.
This role is two fold - you will be responsible for creating our content and managing it across our social channels.

- Lead and execute the photography and videography efforts for campaigns, capturing visuals that align with the brand's messaging and positioning
- Document major market events through photos and videos, showcasing the vibrancy and uniqueness of the location within brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with the central brand team to understand and stay updated on brand content guidelines.
- Deliver multimedia content, spanning photography and videography, for use across various channels, ensuring a consistent brand representation.
- Edit photographs and video footage to align with the brand's aesthetic and messaging standards.
- Ensure all content resonates with audiences, adapting to emerging content trends.
- Maintain an organised digital library of all media assets for easy access and future use.
- Stay updated with the latest photography and videography trends and software, ensuring the best quality capture and editing.
- Build and maintain relationships with agencies or freelancers used as content creators across all markets.
- Lead the onboarding and briefing process for any external content creators, setting clear expectations aligned with brand standards.
- Developing social media strategies with the aim of increasing brand awareness and customer engagement
- Analysing the long-term needs of the companys social media strategy and offering quarterly reports to the management and executive teams, outlining any necessary changes to the overall digital marketing plan
- Staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends and digital technologies
- Developing monthly reports on emerging social media trends that will be submitted to the management and executive teams
- Developing and overseeing competitions and campaigns to draw attention to a brand
- Setting measurable goals for campaigns, measuring and showing the Return on Investment
- Degree in Photography, Videography, Media Production, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in both photography and videography across a range of media formats.
- Proficiency in photography and videography editing software like Adobe Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
- Willingness to travel frequently to various Market locations.
- Strong understanding of brand aesthetics and the capability to capture it visually across different market settings.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and shoot requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of modern photography/videography techniques, equipment, and trends.
- Exceptional communication skills to understand briefs and feedback.
- Proven experience working collaboratively with other teams to achieve a unified brand visual.
