Job Description
We are looking for a Software Engineer to focus on the manufacturing side of things to join our team at Olarm.
As a Software Engineer Manufacturing, you will play a key role in developing, optimising, and maintaining the software tools that drive our production, testing, and business operations. Your work will ensure seamless integration between hardware, firmware and software testing, as well as manufacturing processes, enabling Olarm to scale efficiently.
This role requires a blend of software development, API integration, business analysis, and automation expertise, making it ideal for someone passionate about streamlining operations through technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing & Test Automation
- Develop and maintain Python-based jig testing software to automate hardware validation during production.
- Ensure that manufacturing APIs and testing tools work seamlessly with production hardware.
- Optimize and automate data capture from testing processes, improving efficiency and traceability.
- Work with hardware engineers to refine test scripts and integrate new product testing requirements.
- API & Software Development
- Develop and maintain internal APIs that connect manufacturing and other systems.
- Ensure smooth data flow between manufacturing tools, business systems, and reporting dashboards.
- Automate and streamline production workflows through software enhancements.
- Maintain and optimize internal business tools, focusing on scalability and reliability.
- Business Analysis & Process Optimization
- Analyse existing manufacturing, testing, and operational workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Gather requirements from production, engineering, and business teams to enhance software solutions.
- Ensure data integrity and system reliability across all internal tools.
- Any other reasonable task.
- Degree/Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in software development, preferably in manufacturing, industrial automation, or internal business systems.
- Strong Python development skills, with experience in hardware testing automation (e.g., test jigs).
- Expereince in Javascript, C++ and TypeScript is a plus.
- Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs for internal systems.
- Experience with SQL databases and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong analytical skills with a business-oriented problem-solving mindset.
