Software Developer
Apex is currently looking for a Software Developer to join our Global Middle Office Solutions Team in our Malta office. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years experience and the drive to work in an dynamic and global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Technical Architect and Business Analysts on the ongoing product roadmap
- Develop custom components as required, to extend the Calypso, which is a cross-asset front-to-back platform
- Coordinate the testing and implementation of upgrades/hotfixes to Calypso from test to production environment
- Work with other application developers, database administrators and systems administrators as necessary to diagnose and fix issues.
- A passion for Software development
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Experience in software development using Java 8+
- Experience working with Relational Database such as Oracle
- Ability to solve complex issues and work independently
- Superior customer service skills with the ability to accurately identify and understand customer needs and build effective relationships
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
- Acute attention to detail
- Proven experience effectively managing and prioritizing multiple and competing requests
- Uses discretion appropriately when dealing with sensitive and confidential information
- Deploying applications using JBoss AS / Spring Boot
- Application Container Technologies
- Cloud Infrastructure (E.g.: Oracle Cloud, Azure)
- Build management tools such as Gradle, Maven
- Atlassian software products such as Jira, Confluence, and SourceTree
