What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)
Within a rocketship start up tech company, you will be responsible for leading the design and engineering activities related to solar power systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, provide technical expertise, and contribute to the successful execution of solar projects. Your deep knowledge of solar design principles, industry best practices, and renewable energy technologies will be crucial in ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of our solar systems.

We are not your traditional solar solutions supplier, but a managed marketplace that streamlines the entire solar journey for Commercial, Industrial and Agricultural customers. As a climate-tech start up in the growth phase, we are committed to reducing carbon emissions and promoting renewable energy adoption worldwide and there are many exciting developments and opportunities for you to be a part of.
What you'll need
To be successful in your application for this role, you will need to be a Registered Professional Electrical Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa, have renewable energy, preferably solar systems, experience for a minimum of 3 years with focus on large scale projects, experience with design software tools and familiarity with industry standards, codes and regulatory requirements. Compliance is a huge part of the game and you will play a pivotal role in ensuring ours. In this dynamic and driven team, you will need to be open-minded yet focussed, as well as flexible and able to work in the grey.
