To succeed in this role, you will function as an expert in the design of solar PV systems and all related equipment and software. The ability to work with a team of highly focused individuals toward a final goal and balance the dual needs of Sales and Operations is essential at this level. The ability to be detail-oriented with multiple and diverse project types is a must. Ideally, you will be able to manage a large volume of projects while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
Reporting to the Business Manager: Industrial, you will assume responsibility for the design and support of all EPC contracts, including the equipment selection and system layout for best-in-class fit to the application. Contribute to the development of new industrial and renewable energy products, systems, and applications, and promote the application and implementation of these products by working with cross-functional teams towards the achievement of the company's profitability goals.
This position will be responsible for coordinating the design of photovoltaic/solar and energy storage systems and best practices development. This role will require a deep understanding of the residential, commercial and industrial sector requirements as applied to the solar industry. Applying this knowledge to the intricacies of creating the appropriate systems based on defined end-user requirements.
Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, electrical engineering, or renewable energies, or a relevant tertiary technical qualification is non-negotiable
- Min 5 years of relevant and proven experience and background in the Solar and renewable energy industry, specifically Project and Contract management in Solar, PV, and Utilities
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in a managerial role leading people and managing resources in a changing and dynamic environment
- Experience analysing and interpreting energy generation data, virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale energy market data
- Possesses superior organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines.
- Previous experience working with contract regulations and related laws is strongly preferred
- Experience in building cross-functional relationships
- Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite; SAP, ERP Systems, and job-specific software systems).
- Knowledge of relevant Business Processes
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, Processes and Procedures.
- Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods
