Sonographer

Excellent opportunity! Sonographers required for a very well-established radiology practices in Potchefstroom and Klerksdorp. The ideal candidates would be energetic, confident and hard working. You would be working directly with patients using radiology equipment to accurately record images and diagnostic conclusions. Candidates would have the advantage of working independently and closely with the Radiologists with opportunities to gain more knowledge and growth within the company and. Our client is seeking four junior candidates to apply as well as candidates who have recently completed community service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Obtaining and reviewing patient medical history
• Preparing patients for procedures, educating and comfort patients throughout the procedure
• Operating imaging equipment with precision
• Recognise the sonographic appearance of normal and abnormal tissue structure and provide the best image quality for documentation
• Producing high quality ultrasound images for diagnostic purposes and obtain appropriate measurements for each examination
• Presenting the sonograms and preliminary findings to the Physicians and communicate in a professional and courteous manner as required.
• Assisting Physician and other Healthcare Professionals during invasive procedure

Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate
• B.Tech Ultrasound qualification
• Registered with the HPCSA

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday 08h00 17h00
• Exceptional call once a week

Starting Date:

• Immediate / January 2023

Salary:

• R 40 000 per month
