Job Purpose
The Sourcing Specialist is a dedicated individual that will collaborate with our dynamic team in strategically sourcing, negotiating, managing, and evaluating of contracts within a cluster of categories. The successful candidate will ensure that business needs are met while driving the best value for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Support
Understand category strategies and plans, delivering category analysis and sourcing exercises
Develop short, mid, and long-term strategies for sub-categories
Collaborate with stakeholders to determine requirements and apply professional sourcing methodologies
Drive engagement with the Business regarding procurement requirements
Operational Management
Forecast demand for goods/services
Coordinate product/service distribution methods
Ensure timely delivery, negotiated pricing, and quality standards compliance
Monitor supplier performance and compliance with procurement policies
Negotiate supply agreements and maintain competitive pricing
Review and analyze contract requests and amendments
Tender/RFQ Management
Solicit and evaluate proposals
Manage administrative aspects of tenders/RFQs
Communicate outcomes to the business
Market Analysis And Forecasting
Evaluate market conditions and develop sourcing strategies
Research potential and current suppliers
Forecast price trends and impact on future activities
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate costs
Advise on appropriate suppliers and maintain positive relationships
Monitor supplier performance against SLAs
SAP Enablement
Ensure SAP master data related to procurement is accurate and up to date
Promptly load new catalogues and suppliers onto the SAP system
SHEQ And Sustainability Management
Administer documentation relevant to category quality assurance
Maintain the approved category supplier list
Support internal and external audit processes
Qualifications And Experience
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required for the Job
Degree in commerce/finance, supply chain management, or related field
3-5 years experience in sourcing and project management
Certification in COUPA CSO or similar procurement platforms desirable
Valid Code EB driver's license
Skills and Competencies
Demonstrated knowledge of economic indicators, cost drivers, and cost analysis
Success in developing relationships with suppliers, driving cost efficiencies, performance improvements, and continuous enhancements
Familiarity with specific categories: Outsourced Labour, Transport, Warehousing, IT, Leases, Fuel, Pallets
Experience in negotiations and relationship management
Experience in third-party management is advantageous
