THE JOB AT A GLANCE:
You are responsible for the establishment and execution of sourcing events (RFI, RFQ, RFPs) for your respective commodity ensuring targeted savings are delivered and supply risks are mitigated. You have a detailed understanding of your commodity characteristics and Tiger Brands businesses. You configure and execute (e-)sourcing events and ensure a continuous supply of materials and services that meet the business operational need. You will manage a procurement spend of approx. R800m.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Key Attributes and Competencies
- Provide full support to the Category and Commodity manager in carrying out the defined sourcing strategy (e.g. category analysis, sourcing, negotiation & selection, contracting)
- Understand business requirements and develop a tactical procurement plan for assigned spend with guidance from commodity and category manager
- Analyze the commodity spend and supply market and derive savings opportunities
- Conduct Tiger Brands RFX processes and support in negotiations with suppliers, business stakeholders and internal clients to select suppliers and draft suitable contracts with service/delivery agreements
- Compile procurement motivations for approval of RFX awards ensuring compliance with Tiger Brands Procurement Policy and Procedures
- Develop, implement and manage supplier contracts with the help of Legal team for assigned spend
- Coordinate the operational linkage with manufacturing sites to ensure that supplier performance levels are monitored and reported
- Integrate with operational procurement to resolve supply issues with suppliers
- Provide budgetary input, quarterly cost forecasts, and ZBMs to commodity managers for review and signoff
- Complete commodity ZBMs (manual and Oracle)
- Maintain Supply Risk registers for specified commodities
- Track and report savings progress to BUs on a monthly basis
