As a Junior Buyer, you will be responsible for selecting, purchasing, and managing a diverse range of eyewear products that align with our brand's vision and resonate with our target market. Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in retail or buying, preferably within fashion or eyewear.
- A Diploma or Degree in Fashion, Buying, or a related field is advantageous.
- A proven track record in product selection, range building, and successfully driving sales in a retail or buying context.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and customer trends to inform buying decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across departments (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Brand Management).
Trend Monitoring & Analysis
Stay ahead of global fashion and eyewear trends by actively researching and identifying key market movements, consumer preferences, and emerging styles. Leverage insights from trade shows, fashion events, and competitor analysis to ensure the brand remains at the forefront of industry trends.
Product Assortment & Selection
Curate an exceptional range of products that align with the brands ethos and appeal to the target market. Regularly review sales performance and customer feedback to ensure the right balance of styles, price points, and product categories is achieved.
Range Building & Brand Collaboration
Work closely with the Brand Manager to build product ranges that are cohesive and on-brand, ensuring that each collection supports the brand's overall vision, aesthetics, and customer needs. Strive to create a diverse and appealing product offering that encourages customer engagement and repeat purchases.
Brand Consistency
Ensure that all product ranges adhere to the Brands Corporate Identity (CI), maintaining a consistent look and feel across all touchpoints. This includes reviewing product packaging, visual merchandising, and online product displays to ensure brand guidelines are met.
Cross-Department Collaboration
Partner with the marketing team to ensure product launches, promotions, and campaigns align with brand messaging and retail objectives. Work together to create compelling content that engages customers both in-store and online, ensuring a seamless retail journey.
Purchase Order Management
Take ownership of the full purchasing process, including creating and managing purchase orders based on seasonal demand shared by Brand Manager.
Stock & Inventory Management
Maintain accurate stock levels across online platforms, ensuring that all products are correctly listed, categorized, and available for purchase. Conduct regular audits to identify any discrepancies and resolve issues promptly, ensuring a smooth and efficient inventory flow.
Product Data Accuracy
Ensure all product details, including descriptions, specifications, pricing, and imagery, are correctly captured and up to date on both internal systems and external platforms. This includes coordinating with the creative team to ensure high-quality product images are used and are consistent with the brands visual language.
Online Presence & Catalogue Oversight
Oversee the management of the YZO catalogue and online platforms to ensure that all products are accurately reflected, with updated stock levels, prices, and product information. Collaborate with the IT team to optimize online product displays.
Customer Insights & Data-Driven Decisions
Use data analytics tools to track customer behaviour, sales trends, and purchasing patterns. Analyse customer feedback, reviews, and market data to identify new opportunities, refine product ranges, and predict future buying trends.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
Regularly report on buying trends, customer behaviours, and sales performance to the Brand Manager. Utilize sales data to make informed buying decisions and adjust strategies as needed to achieve sales targets and optimize product offerings.
