KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Recruitment: facilitate and manage the recruitment, selection and placement process. This includes but is not limited to advertising vacant positions, screening cvs, short listing and conducting interviews.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements, develop job descriptions, and create effective job postings.
- Maintain personnel records / information in accordance with the applicable laws as well as the companys policies and procedures.
- Secretarial: minute taking for the department, factory meetings, disciplinary proceedings and grievances
- Administration: manage an efficient and well controlled HR administration system in line with legislative and company requirements
- Skills Development: assist with the factory training needs analysis, sourcing training providers and assisting in developing and conducting IR / HR training interventions by working closely with the Talent Development Specialist.
- Maintaining accurate training development records for the purposes of assisting with the annual WSP / ART reporting requirements
- Support career development initiatives and succession planning efforts.
- Implement performance management programs, including goal-setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans.
- Employment Equity: maintaining accurate employment equity records in terms of data, reports, plans, consultation records and succession planning
- Employee Benefits: support the companys employee benefit structures according to company practices, established policies and procedures
- Attendance and Payroll: support company efficiency by contributing to the strategic management of absenteeism behaviour and assist in maintaining payroll data integrity and continuity of the payroll function.
- HR Projects: positively support and contribute to the implementation and finalization of HR projects to enhance employee engagement
- BSCI: adherence to and upholding the values and principles set out in the BSCI Code of Conduct
MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior HR role preferably Manufacturing Environment
- Proven experience in a specialist HR role, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of HR principles and practices.
- Understanding of BCEA, LRA, EE.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and HR software.
