Purpose of the Job
The Continuous Improvement Specialist reports to the APSYS & Continuous Improvement Manager, leads transverse improvement missions (within and outside Manufacturing Operations, i.e. all metiers), animates company-wide initiatives (through the set-up and monitoring of performance management tools and animation of Performance Management), supports adherence to APSYS roadmap deployment for all metiers, and ensures sound performance management in all metiers in compliance with central and local defined governance and guidelines.
Key responsibilities include the following:
- Define the CI strategy of the organization, for the current or next financial year.
- Set-up and monitoring of Performance Management tools, define adequate visualizations with end-users.
- Consolidate feedback/Return of Experience (REX) on performance management tools, integrate in improvement plan.
- Define, monitor and continuously improve governance around Operational KPIs (Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery), in-line with Quality School and APSYS roadmap.
- Ensure timely availability of Monthly Mtier Reviews / Monthly Business Reviews for Operational KPIs.
- Support mtiers in their KPI selection (key topics), to ensure coherence with their strategic objectives/Top Management expectation; incl good balance of process & result KPI, and physical / finance KPIs.
- Consolidate, analyze and present high-level performance indicators for the CI & APSYS function.
- Animate, coordinate and challenge improvement actions to support APSYS targets defined with each mtier based on APSYS roadmaps using APSYS toolbox to deliver operational performance & develop local best practices that will be shared with the steering committee.
- Improve compliance around performance management (on topics of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost).
- Attend and be an active support in CI & APSYS network calls.
- Perform CI workshops (e.g. SWIP, Kaizen, VSM, etc.) on constraint processes, not limited to Shopfloor, across all metiers.
- Facilitates site-wide Kaizen Competition.
- Conduct daily plant Gembas to observe Voice-of-Operations, i.e. walk to see opportunities for improvements, provide coaching in-line with Quality School/APSYS roadmap where necessary.
- Industrial Engineering or Quality degree (preferable).
- Experience in Quality management and proven ability in the use of problem-solving tools.
- 5 Years Experience in Quality or Continuous Improvement.
- Knowledge on Finance fundamentals.
- Process engineering professional background.
- Quality management system, project and operation .
- Green Belt Certified (preferrable).
- Emotional intelligent.
- Data driven, courageous, and self-motivated.
- Good analytical skills and ability to synthesize quickly complex situations.
- Good interpersonal skills to manage high-ranked cross-functional networks.
- Experience in operational activities and results driven.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Good knowledge and use of Excel & PowerPoint.
- Understand and able to apply Lean concepts and methodologies (5S, 7 Wastes, etc.). Knowledge in Qliksense is advantageous.
