Purpose Statement Provide coaching and guidance to self-organising Agile teams and the coordination layer within the bank to:
- ensure the optimal application and usage of Agile / Scrum practices and tools across multiple teams and Product Heads by working side by side with the Team Appointed Scrum Masters and team members.
- drive continuous improvement and Agile / Scrum maturity of teams within and across portfolios, (in Agile ceremonies and across all Agile practices)
- embed the application of the Capitec Recipe (Scalable Agile Delivery Framework within Capitec) across all teams and the coordination layer in the portfolio
- Experience being a Scrum Master for at least 5 years across multiple teams and industries / organisations.
- Proven experience in the application of one or more of the following:
- Agile values and principles
- Applying Agile Methodologies (i.e. Scrum, Lean and Kanban principles, practices and theory)
- Working with teams using Agile techniques (i.e. User Stories; Continuous Integration; Continuous Testing; Pair Programming / Pairing; Automated Testing, Mobbing, swarming and Agile Games)
- Configuration tools (i.e. JIRA, Confluence etc.)
- Scaled Agile Methodology
- Experience as part of an Agile Software Delivery Team in one or more of the following roles:
- Agile Project Management
- Business Analyst
- Software Developer
- Product Owner
- Experience as an Agile Coach working across multiple teams
- Proven experience in the application of other Agile techniques (i.e. ATDD (Acceptance Test Driven Development); TDD (Test Driven Development)
- Experience working in the banking and / or financial services industry
- Knowledge and / or exposure to different Agile Methodologies (not limited to Scrum, Lean and Kanban)
- Certification in Scrum or Kanban (CSM, KMP, PSM I)

- Documented patterns and techniques related to the Scrum approach (i.e. Planning, Refinement, Reviews and Retrospective formats, removal of impediments and handling of bugs, etc.)
- Group facilitation approaches (i.e. conflict resolution, effective team work, etc.)
- different Agile and Lean metrics, their application contexts and be able to apply them to team improvements
- Must have a working knowledge of the principles and practices of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, collaboration, empowerment and increasing transparency.
