Job Purpose
To provide fiduciary advisory services to Nedbank Private Wealth target market clients and support internal business units within Private Wealth to meet business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc.).
- Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy (e.g.. Green Strategy).
- Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank.
- Interpret and communicate legislative and regulatory developments by formulating and circulating house views to internal and external stakeholders.
- Enable internal partners to have meaningful conversations with clients by transferring knowledge and skills through training and communications.
- Share opinions and knowledge by participating in internal Fiduciary Specialist Forum.
- Support internal stakeholders to achieve targets and introduce new business by providing fiduciary advice to provide a competitive edge.
- Meet business objectives by initiating; developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Meet business requirements by providing South African and International fiduciary advice to target market clients.
- Follow the pricing process by applying correct fees for advice rendered and products delivered.
- Provide fiduciary advice and deliver products by following and applying industry best practice.
- Mitigate risk to Nedbank Group by providing sound fiduciary advice.
- Deliver consistent fiduciary advice by developing; building; maintaining and using a repository of forms; precedents and processes.
- Meet business requirements by complying with Service Level Agreements.
- Achieve business objectives by planning activities; allocating resources and managing performance.
- Support the achievement of the business strategy; objectives and values by reviewing Nedbank and Business Unit Plan and ensuring delivered systems; process; services and solutions are aligned.
- Identify training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from management.
- Ensure all personal development plan activities are completed within specified timeframe.
- Share knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction.
- Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes (e.g. operational processes) that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendations.
People Specification
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
LLB Degree or Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Law/Taxation.
Essential Certifications
Preferred Certifications
Fiduciary Institute of South Africa.
Minimum Experience Level
8 - 10 years in Fiduciary environment or relevant Legal or Tax experience
